Wine Match – ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’

For just $62++ per guest, this wine match contrasts different elements inspired by the iconic 1966 film. You are invited to delve into each carefully curated bottle’s unique stories and flavours.

  • The Good: Alexandre Bain, 2020 Vin de France ‘La Levée’—This Sauvignon Blanc from the limestone-rich Pouilly-Fumé region embodies natural winemaking. Aged for 33 months, it presents a beautiful blend of floral notes, candied quince, and honey, balanced with minerality and rich fruit flavours.
  • The Bad: Klinec, 2018 Goriška Brda ‘Gardelin’ – This rebellious Pinot Grigio from Slovenia defies conventions with its slightly cloudy, amber hue. Aged in Acacia barrels, it offers citrus, honey, and earthy tannins, reflecting its wild and natural origins.
  • The Ugly: Domaine De Rapatel, 2005 Vin de France ‘Cuvée Rapatellissime’ – Born from a near mishap, this Carignan-based wine surprises with powerful aromas of raisins, prunes, and cherries. Fortified with neutral alcohol after light oxidation, it delivers a refreshing finish, showcasing resilience in every sip.
