Japan’s Best-Kept F&B Secret Just Landed in Singapore — And We Got In Before Opening Day
If you work in Singapore’s food and beverage industry — or you simply love a good deal on quality ingredients — there’s a new address in Tanjong Pagar you need to know about.
A-PRICE Singapore opens its doors on 1 July 2026, and it’s a genuine first: the very first A-PRICE outlet to open outside Japan. Our team got an early look ahead of the grand opening, and we left genuinely impressed.
What exactly is A-PRICE?
A-PRICE is a cash-and-carry concept developed by TOHO Co., Ltd — one of Japan’s leading food distribution groups, founded in 1947 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The A-PRICE format itself has been running since 1987 and now operates more than 80 stores across Japan, built on a simple but powerful idea: give food service operators direct access to professional-grade ingredients at prices that actually make sense for running a business.
The Singapore outlet — located at 120 Tanjong Pagar Road — brings that same model here, with a range covering cooking oils, sauces, Japonica rice, sustainably farmed seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, and a wide selection of daily kitchen staples. Behind the pricing is TOHO Group’s established sourcing and logistics network, which gives them serious purchasing power without compromising on quality.

Not just for the trade
While A-PRICE was built with F&B professionals in mind — and corporate members do get additional savings on top of shelf prices — the store is open to the public. If you’ve ever wanted access to commercial-grade products at honest prices, this is exactly that.
Two things you genuinely won’t find anywhere else in Singapore
What caught our attention most were two firsts that have nothing to do with bulk buying.
The first is toho coffee — a TOHO Group staple that has been supplied to hotels, restaurants and cafes across Japan since the 1950s, roasted at a dedicated facility on Rokko Island in Kobe. A-PRICE Singapore is the first place outside Japan where you can get it as a fresh brew, in-store, as well as in whole beans, ground coffee and drip packs. It’s genuinely good coffee, and the story behind it is worth knowing.
The second is Bread ‘N Better — a TOHO Group bakery brand producing freshly baked pastries daily on-site, including artisanal croissants and pain au chocolat. Again, a first for Singapore.
